Knots Elementals: Discover living life as nature intended

Spring 2010

Well what a start to 2010 − bugs and grey, cold days − I think it has arrived with a lot of congestion so all the get-moving essential oils and potions are looking at me.

Top of my list is arnica, great for the circulation, stimulates the system so combine it with essential oils like cedarwood for the depleted everything, eucalyptus the great decongestant and french marjoram to alleviate stress and open up fresh possibilities for the new year. This would work well in a bath preparation or a rub. Dead Sea salt is good at drawing out toxins and giving us a bit of a detox so try a good scoop or two in the bath with juniper and lavender – the juniper is a great drawer and the lavender will rebalance the system and help get ready for spring. If feeling the winter blues try May Chang as it helps dispel the grey, depressed gloom about and it has such a cheery nature it will be a good harbinger for brighter days. A good oil to burn in the house as it is also an effective bug killer!!!

My lovely man, Pawel, who is working on my website for me (email: pablo.novacco@gmail.com − if you want his help) has put my fact files on a slideshow so that you can introduce or update yourself on some key essential oils and herbal preparations. All of these are available from me by mailorder but I also have many other essential oils and herbal tinctures etc at my fingertips so please ring or use the quick enquiry to check the state of play if you are looking for something in particular.

The workshops went on the back boiler over the Christmas period although Lucy, Phoebe and Tara kept me busy when they came with their Christmas present list and concocted all manner of lotions and potions for friends and family. Well over 30 presents were blended and prepared by Phoebe and Tara with personalised labels to boot − great fun and by all accounts well receivedfor the next workshop dates and come and join me for some informal learning around my big slate table!
